Image Format Converter — PNG / JPG / WebP online
The image format converter switches your image between PNG, JPG and WebP: converting to JPG fills transparent areas with a color you pick, converting to WebP lets you tune quality to save size, and you see the before/after size live. Design Cat converts it all locally; nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
What happens to transparency when converting PNG to JPG?
JPG can't store transparency, so the tool fills formerly-transparent areas with your chosen matte color (white by default), avoiding black or noisy blocks.
How is converting different from compressing?
Converting changes the file type (e.g. PNG→WebP). If your main goal is a smaller file, use the quality slider here, or the Image Compressor for finer size/quality control.
Does it support HEIC / iPhone photos?
It handles formats the browser can decode (PNG / JPG / WebP). iPhone HEIC needs converting to JPG first — a dedicated HEIC tool is coming.
