Add Watermark — text watermark & anti-theft tiling online
The watermark tool adds a text watermark to your photos, artwork and product images: tile it diagonally across the whole image (most effective against theft) or place a single corner mark, with adjustable size, opacity, color and tilt. Design Cat composites it all locally — your original is never uploaded, which matters most for anti-theft.

How to use add watermark

- 2Type the watermark text (name, brand, © notice).
- 3Choose tiled or single, tune size, opacity and angle.
- 4Hit Download to save the watermarked image.
Why use Design Cat's Add Watermark?
- Anti-theft tiling: diagonal full-image coverage that's hard to crop out.
- Local compositing: originals aren't uploaded — a watermark tool should never make you hand the image over first.
- Tweak freely: size, opacity, color and angle with live preview.
Frequently asked questions
Does tiled watermarking actually prevent theft?
A semi-transparent watermark tiled diagonally across the whole image covers every area, making it very hard to crop or paint out cleanly — a common approach on social platforms and stock libraries that meaningfully raises the cost of theft.
Won't the watermark ruin the image?
Adjustable opacity (20–35% recommended) keeps it faint: visible enough to mark ownership without overwhelming the image. Lower for subtlety, higher for a stronger copyright statement.
Is my image uploaded?
No. All compositing happens locally in your browser — the image never leaves your device, which is exactly the privacy stance a watermark tool should hold.
